The REV 105 RADIO ARCHIVE - Vol. 1 is a 21 track compilation featuring acoustic performances by both local and national artists. The tracks were recorded in the REV 105 radio studio. In-studio recordings were a regular and unique feature on REV 105. The CD sold in local Twin Cities stores for about $10. All the profits from this album went to support the Minneapolis Crisis Nursery.
The graphics feature simulated rubber-stamp text on the covers, and what looks like bad photo copies of typewritten text in the liner notes. There are even some handwritten corrections. The jewel-case booklet is 8 pages. It's one long strip with 4 pages printed on each side and then folded.

As was true of its predecessor, the various artists album I-10 Chronicles, Vol. 2: One More for the Road uses as its organizing principle (or as its conceit) the concept of a road trip along an interstate highway that runs through the southern regions of the United States, from California to Florida. But like the first volume, this one isn't as strict about geography as it is about musical styles.
The performances share a musical sensibility, a country-folk/rock/blues hybrid that mixes acoustic instruments such as guitar, accordion, and mandolin with aggressive, electric rhythm sections and roughhewn vocals.

One of two CDs given away with the September 2004 edition of Mojo. They were not given away together though, and one had to buy two copies of the magazine.

CD length: 53:18

It started out as a simple concept: MOJO would compile 15 tracks that would prove that, in the wake of the '62 visits, The Beatles had permeated every aspect of the US music scene. In keeping with MOJO's desire to stay one step ahead of obsession, the tracks would be weird and wonderful interpretations by artists who added new dimensions to the original Fab tunes. Isaac Hayes' epic rendition of George Harrison's Something would rub shoulders with the country honk of Charles River Valley Boys' I've Just Seen A Face.

After the first set of calls to those we thought might be intrested, the phones at MOJO HQ started ringing off the hook with labels and musicians wanting to participate in this unique tribute. The upshot? Enough tracks to fill up no one but two volumes of Beatlemania! So that's exactly what we've done. We'd like to thank all the artists involved, especially The Posies, whose version of I'm Looking Through You is unreleased and exclusive to this compilation.
